On June 4, 2016 my husband and I had the privilege of flying to Texas to witness his sister Whitney marry her best friend Derrick. Now, I am completely bias and totally love everything about my own wedding, but my new sister's wedding totally competes!! Officially I was there as family to watch a beautiful outward expression of love between a wonderful couple, unofficially I was taking pictures. Weddings are not my specialty by any means but the one thing I love doing in regards to them is photographing the details!!! I think they are so important, it's what truly personalizes a wedding. So prior to the wedding ceremony I ran around with my camera snapping all that I could. Whitney is truly one of a kind! She has a big personality and a loving outrageously kind heart to match. Not only does she treat friends like family and will do anything for them, but her own family is royalty to her...especially her niece and nephew. Those two babies have rocked her world in a way she can't begin to imagine! Derrick, definitely completes Whitney. He is relaxed and easy going. He likes to think things through and prides himself on working hard and taking care of the people he loves most. I haven't gotten to spend as much time with my sister as I would like, but even from my husband (her brother), he tells me that Derrick has changed her in the most positive ways, and that is truly a blessing! The two got married on June 4th at Butler's Courtyard, and I was grateful to have been invited to such a beautiful day.

Here are some images for Whitney and Derricks' special day.
I pray that the two of you just love each other and be you. If there is anything I have learned from my first year of marriage is that you don't have to change yourselves, continue to be and do you! I pray that you would each work to really listen to each other. Even in the hardest of moments, work to be selfless and do for your spouse! I pray that you would continue to encourage and build each other up. I pray that you would take time to spend with each other in prayer, happiness, laughter, and sadness. I pray that you will put each other first, before everything else, however never forget who blessed you with this marriage for HE should be #1.
