At the time of this session, which was Fall of 2012, Quentin was a senior at Northwest Christian High School. He played varsity football and after graduation he planned on joining the United States Army. His parents worked at the high school I attended, so I have known the family for a few years. It's always a little more challenging photographing males, they have this idea that not smiling is the only way to go. I managed to get a few smiles out of Q, just for his mom...who at some point did start to tear up realizing her baby boy would be off on his own soon. One of those bittersweet moments.
