On October 3rd, 2015 I had the opportunity to photograph a lovely destination wedding of sorts for a family friend in Payson, Arizona. The grooms mother had worked with my mom a few years ago and was one of the only reasons I agreed. However, I am thankful and grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of this beautiful wedding. Kent and Katie...they are an absolutely adorable couple. They currently live in Washington state and traveled to Arizona for their wedding on the Mongollon Rim. They have 2 puppies and enjoy everything outdoors. Their love for the outdoors was the design behind their entire wedding. Not only was there ceremony hosted in a national park, literally on a cliff, but their reception was warm (figuratively...it got cold that night) and relaxed in a campground setting; complete with bonfire and s'mores! The only thing on Kents' mind in the days leading up the wedding were that Katie was happy and got exactly what she wanted. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, even though we battled the wind all morning and afternoon they had a beautiful rustic, romantic ceremony and reception. Here is a look at their magical day!

Love is in the air. 2015 has been an incredible year and I can't believe it is almost over. I think it has been exciting because a long with myself, I have had so many friends make this year memorable: from getting engaged, to walking down the aisle, to finding out they are expecting, to having that little bundle of joy! Moves and employment opportunities. I'm glad that I got to share these moments with family and friends; and I am about to add another one to the list. I have finished with Kent & Katie's Mountainside Destination Wedding and will be posting their session soon!
